Home ministry asked states to be alert - additional forces sent to ayodhya verdict

The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent an advisory to all states to remain alert in wake of Ayodhya verdict, which is expected before Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi's retirement on November 17.
A general advisory has been sent to all states and Union territories asking them to deploy adequate security personnel in all sensitive places and ensure that no untoward incident takes place anywhere in the country, a home ministry official said.
The home ministry has also has rushed 40 companies of paramilitary forces to Uttar Pradesh to assist the state government in maintaining law and order. A company of paramilitary forces comprises about 100 personnel.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also asked his council of ministers to refrain from making unnecessary statements in connection to Ayodhya verdict.
The prime minister asked them to refrain from making unnecessary statements on the subject and maintain harmony in the country, sources said.
Several other leaders like NCP's Sharad Pawar, BSP's Mayawati and NJP's Yogi Adityanath have also appealed people to maintain peace and calm before and after the expected verdict.
